Coco's Creations was born from a passion for cooking that runs deep. After more than a decade in education, Chef Coco stepped out of the classroom and into the kitchen full time, turning her gift into a family-centered catering and mobile food business.

At the 5th Annual Black Entrepreneurs Week, powered by the Equiliberty Foundation, Chef Cortnee “Coco” Williams took the stage with a story years in the making — and walked away the winner of the Legacy 1865 Pitch Competition.

What started in a home kitchen, fueled by family recipes and a decade in education, has grown into a full-service catering and mobile food brand rooted in Louisiana flavor. The $5,000 award is more than a prize — it’s fuel for the next chapter: expanding the mobile kitchen, deepening community partnerships, and bringing Cajun-inspired barbecue to even more tables.

Coco’s Creations was featured as a brand on the rise — one carrying the legacy of the women who came before, and cooking it forward with bold spice, slow smoke, and Southern soul.
